Im happy to help people if Im capable, although it saddens me that its become so normal to pay-to-win even the slightest thing and these people thought they had to give me something for helping. Ive seen the decline of general helpful players "out of the kindness of their hearts" turn into quick money making schemes. Theres a few quest fights Ive been stuck on for years because you need 4-8 players (or other players who are also "Premium members") to do it and Im not paying, tried once, they took my money, joined the fight, killed their own (multi-acc) players then left. Im not interested in having other people join and use it as an excuse to leech and/or raid guild house chests and steal everything - which happened on Shika, that guys ex "best friend" actually reached out to me last month and apologised for him and said the guy still used sneaky tactics to steal from people. I mostly play by myself, the guild I own is from one I made way back when on Shika, but it only has a few close friends, my 2 sons and some of their close friends in it. I've been playing since 2005, been through the switch from 1.29 to 2.0 and multiple server merges. I really would like to know your thoughs just by curious and if you think Ankama would consider to change this things during the unity migration, or everything will remain as it is. Now, I personally have mixed feelings, because ideally, I would like to enjoy that "essence" all the time, the true is, I barely do it because is quite hard to find people when you need something, unless you play 12h daily, which its probably not the case of most of us, that ends me wanting to be able to finish stuff just by myself. Also, one of the topics was "Ankama didn't change this because this way you spend your suscription not being able to progress or, you pay more suscriptions for multi accounting on server that allows you to do it to be fully independant, ending on Ankama just getting more money". On the other side, there's people that claims, in 2023, there's no sense to have quest like this in an MMO no more, specially in monoaccount servers since you are stuck for long time not being able to progress and even killing your feels of keep playing because of this. So, I hear different opinions, one side was: This is the essence of Dofus, play together with people, don't be lazy, put your efforce and so, I even readed people saying the globally pre-sentient potion kills the essence of being an adventurer and discover the world by yourself. The game is clearly made to play with a group of people and many quest, are meant to be accomplish this way, otherwise you just can't. This means no leeching, maybe being your first character, following the main questline etc etc Yesterday I had a conversation with some guildmates about the way you have to approach Dofus if you want to progress "normal".
